Menace hooked me up with this beat and I knew right away that Hater would sound awesome on it. I also immediately figured I would reword that old school hook melody. I met Hater up at Montclair State University and popped the inst CD in his whip and sung the hook I came up with for the song. The next day our verses were done. We initially met up and brought the joint up to six track studio in queens and that is where we ladi down the vocals and also where I scratched in the break on the turntables. Then we had Benny Steele finisk the mix at the Steele Factory in Brooklyn, NY. I would say that Haters verse on this is mos def one of the hottest verses on my whole first album. This is more just wierdo, creative music with the underground Hip-Hop edge to it.
